Elon Musk is back in the headlines — this time, for trying to get his $56 billion Tesla compensation package reinstated. Apparently, $56 billion wasn’t enough the first time.
Musk’s legal team argues that the deal was ‘fair’ and ‘necessary to retain talent.’ Right — because Musk was totally going to quit Tesla if he didn’t get another private island.
Tesla shareholders aren’t exactly thrilled, but Musk remains confident. ‘We believe the court will see the value in this package,’ said a spokesperson. Translation: ‘We’re hoping the judge is a Tesla fanboy.’
